Girl Code


"Girl Code" season four returns with all-new episodes beginning Wednesday, June 3rd at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT. This season, the hilarious cast of female personalities will continue to candidly tackle the unwritten rules of "girl code" through irreverent commentary, comedic sketches and the comical #askgirlcode anything segment, which for the first time ever will have the cast answering fan-submitted questions together in round-table style.

Fan-favorite cast members return including Carly Aquilino, Nicole Byer, Tanisha Long, Jamie Lee, Shalyah Evans, Nessa, Alesha Renee, Quinn Marcus, Esther Ku, Alice Wetterlund and "Guy Code" cast members Andrew Schulz, Charlamagne tha God, Jordan Carlos and Chris DiStefano. Season three introduces newcomers Jade Catta-Preta ("Manhattan Love Story," "2 Broke Girls"), Annie Lederman ("Chelsea Lately") and Nora "Awkwafina" Lum (known for her online feminist parodies) who join the roster to tackle new topics like girl power, bad girls,  love & money, sexuality, self-expression and so much more!

Nicole Byer: has been performing at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre since 2010. Nicole performs on Maude Night with Fambly and on ”Harold Night with Bucky.” Past shows included; “The Bachelor: Romance Roses and Romance,” “Cool Show for Teen Girl,” and “Diva's Live a Benefit for Baby Diva.” She's also 1/3 of the smart lady group Doppelganger who currently have a show running called “Doppelganger Gets Inked.” Nicole has appeared on “30 Rock,” “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” and a Nestle commercial that only runs in Israel. Her voice can also be heard in many a radio spots. Nicole is a lover of all things, namely bacon, VHS tapes and the late great Patrick Swayze.

Carly Aquilino: is a stand-up comedian described by audience members as "funny" and by her father as "a huge mistake". As a New York native, Carly first stepped on stage at Gotham Comedy Club and has since been quickly rising in the comedy scene, performing at the most popular clubs in New York. Carly's hobbies are telling jokes and checking Facebook to make sure the people that made fun of her in high school got fat. Carly feels proud of having her stand up featured on Sirius XM radio and is  especially proud that she once made her grandma Marilyn laugh so hard that her teeth fell out. 

Jamie Lee: is a iced coffee drinkin', unapologetic lover of cliche girl sh*t - ranging from Dr.Pepper lip gloss to diamonds. She recently performed stand-up comedy on “Conan,” and was named one of the country's ”Top 10 Up-And-Coming Comedians To Watch” by The Splitsider. Jamie can also be seen on other MTV shows including “Failosophy,” and the upcoming season of “Money From Strangers.” Lastly, she loves Twitter. Alice Wetterlund: For 3 years and counting, Alice “Pretty-in-a-Not-Shitty-Way” Wetterlund has performed her non-yelling brand of comedy all over, at such clubs as Comix and Broadway Comedy Club, UCBNY and San Francisco’s Punchline, and on such critically-acclaimed shows as College Humor Live, Big Terrific, and Tigerlily, as well as at Bridgetown and Women in Comedy Festivals.

Shalyah Evans: Actress and Comedian Shalyah Evans was born and raised in Napa CA. She found her love of performing young, and eventually she moved to Los Angeles at to study at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts. There she continued her performing journey in the parades and shows at The Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, CA. A few years later, looking for a change of scenery, no tiaras and a lot less driving, Shalyah moved to New York City, where she currently resides. A comedy nerd thru and thru, she is a house performer at the famous Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, performing weekly improv and sketch shows with her teams "The Regulars" and "Legs For Days". Esther Ku: is a comedian, actress and musician. Ku recently wrapped filming on “The Cookout 2” with Ja Rule, Charlie Murphy, Vivica Fox, and Faizon Love. Ku was selected as a finalist in NBC’s “Last Comic Standing“ Season 6. She was also selected by Howard Stern as a finalist in the “Hottest Funniest Chick Contest” on Sirius Satellite Radio. She has performed in the hit comedy “Shear Madness,” the longest-running non-musical play in American theatre history.

Tanisha Long:  is West Philadelphia born and raised. In her Mom’s apartment is where she spent most of her days (seriously). She moved to NYC in 2006 to study acting at HB Studio where she discovered that she was completely obsessed with being a weirdo and making people laugh. She then began to study improv at UCB, The PIT, The Philly Improv Theater and Michael Howard Studio.  She has most recently done work for Comedy Central, MTV, Teen Nick, VH1, Fuse TV and College Humor.

April Rose : Born just north of Chicago, April's media career was initially coupled with creative work behind the camera -- After discovering a passion for art direction, she warmed up to the front of the camera, becoming the "Loop Rock Girl" for Chicago's classic rock radio station in 2007. In 2008, she won Maxim's Hometown Hottie contest and became co-host for the Chicago Bears pre-game show "The Chicago Huddle." She currently writes and hosts a daily web series on, "Maximum Exposure" and appears in magazine features including Maxim's military edition and Maxim Canada's first cover. Starring as a lead personality in three seasons of Guy Code she can also be seen on the Speed network and co-hosting the Chicago Bears pre-game show.

Alesha Renee:  As an Actress and TV personality, Alesha Reneé has appeared on “E! News ,” “HotWyred,” “The 5ive,” BET and the BET Awards Pre-Show. Alesha Renee has also been taped by several brands to be the face and voice behind multiple campaigns including Proctor & Gambles "My Black is Beautiful" campaign and tour. She is the ongoing host and spokesperson for McDonald's "Men of McCafe," a national community action initiative encouraging young men to be active in their community. In between her busy time jet-setting from set-to-set, Alesha Reneé has made time to pursue her passion for acting, landing key roles in films produced by the Hughes Brothers , Warner Bros,PBS and Investigation Discovery and “Guy Code” Season 1.

Nessa: Well versed in the art of hustle and determination, the multifaceted Nessa is a fresh face to the world of television, but a young vet in the radio world. Starting off as an intern at WILD 94.9 in the Bay, Nessa maneuvered her way through the radio ranks and now controls the San Francisco & Oakland airwaves with her nightly primetime radio show “Nessa's Night Show.” Currently her voice can be heard on over 22 markets nationwide stretching across time zones from Portland, to Rochester, NY. This multi talented music fanatic joins the cast of “The Week In Jams,” dedicated to delivering the sights, sounds and pulse of the Bay Area and beyond in her fun and "no holds barred" approach to television screens across the country. 

Quinn Marcus: is an uninhibited, hilarious senior at Emerson College whose comedic shorts led her to become the host of the university’s popular late night talk show. As the host of Quinnterviews on mtvU, she has interviewed Tina Fey, Betty White, Paul Rudd, Tegan & Sara and the cast of ABC’s “Happy Endings.” She has been profiled by Extra’s Maria Menounos, Teen Vogue and the Boston Globe.

Jade Catta-Preta: Jade is a triple threat as a writer, actress, and stand-up comedian. She is presently a series regular on ABC’s “Manhattan Love Story.” Other credits include “Californication,” “2 Broke Girls,” and “Sullivan & Son.” As a standup comic, she features for Bobby Lee and Bill Burr, and is a regular performer comedy clubs across the country.

Annie Lederman: Annie  is a talented comedian known for her hilarious regular panel appearances on “Chelsea Lately.” She has recently appeared on “@MIDNIGHT,” featured on “The Soup Investigates” and performed on the first season of “Adam Devine’s House Party.” She regularly tours with the likes of Jim Norton and Marc Maron.

Nora “Awkwafina” Lum: Awkwafina is a New York City-based rapper and cat hoarder from Forest Hills, Queens. Her musical career began at the age of 11 with the trumpet, where she eventually attended LaGuardia High School. She is most popularly known for her YouTube videos "My Vag" (a feminist parody of Mickey Avalon's "My Dick") and “NYC Bitche$.”  Her videos have been featured on NBC News, New York Magazine, Buzzfeed, Gawker, College Humor and more.  She currently resides in Brooklyn.
